About

This blog is written about my journey as an Ecumenical Accompanier with the Ecumenical Accompaniment Program in Palestine and Israel. Included are my reflections from my time of service in Palestine from June 2011 to September 2011, and my ongoing work as an advocate for a just peace in Israel and Palestine to the present date.

The EAPPI has been in existence since 2002 and was part of the World Council of Churches’ support response to requests for prayerful action and solidarity with those in Israel and Palestine working towards a just and peaceful solution to the conflict.

I just came across your blog checking out some Jewish Settlement names. I am just back from a Christian Peacemaker Teams delegation to Hebron/South Hebron Hills and your pictures and comments only reinforce everything I saw and heard. I too continue to write, unable to stop pondering and reflecting and sharing. Thank you for your witness.

Thank you for your comments and encouragement. CPT were fine colleagues for us and so dedicated in their work in Hebron and At Tuwani. I walked the school run a few times with them. they are not in at Tuwani anymore and that is a sad loss. I am sure you saw how challenging that setting is for the people and their need for accompaniment and solidarity. Operation dove is doing fantastic work, but so much more could be offered. Thank you for your journey and for the witnessing you will provide. May peace come soon.

    Hi,
I just ran across your blog while I was looking for Ephiphany liturgy materials for a presentation I’m doing tomorrow on my time in Palestine 🙂 It was wonderful and heartbreaking to read that we shared many of the same feelings, and I was wondering if I could quote you on my blog, filisteenola.blogspot.com. I’d also be interested in linking to your blog if that’s alright with you. Hopefully we can stay in touch! Thank you for your work, the EAPPI’s were truly a blessing in the Northern Valley…

Thanks for the affirming comments. Yes… I would be pleased to be quoted in your material. It has been a while since I updated my blog, since there is so much other good stuff and recent stuff to read and connect to. I will however be adding some material soon regarding BDS and especially related to action against Soda Stream running up to the advertising they are doing at SuperBowl.
I would be happy to read more of your material from your blog as well. Peace to you.
